Over the last year, this has become one of my go-to forms. The narrow-base gently angling out to a high shoulder before coming back to a narrow neck, just has something really pleasing to it.

This vase had been scored into with a swirling, curving, energetic pattern. The incisions then being inlaid with a porcelain slip to create an effect slightly more subtle than the sgraffito vases I’ve made with a similar decoration.
